G. ; Chita State Medical Academy; konoraIoraoIgagen@yandex.ru Annotation The aim of the research. Experimentally justify the use of octanoic acid for litholysis of gallstones. Materials and methods. In the experiments in vitro 103 gallstones of different composition were used. In the experiment in vivo 40 adult rabbits: after modeling of cholelithiasis on the third day after operation through cholecystostoma a solventwas injected, outcome was assessed at 3,5, 7,14 days after treatment. Results. Average time of dissolution the stones was 5,63 ± 2,10 min, counting on 1 mg of the stone weight, solubility is inversely proportional to the degree of mineralization of stones. A mixture of octanoic acid and glycerol in a ratio of 1:1 does not change the solubility. In vivo complete dissolution was achieved by the 4th day of treatment, toxic effects haven't been identif ied. Conclusion. Octanoic acid is active to all types of gallstones, has low toxicity in a dose required to dissolve stones. Keywords: cholelithiasis, octanoic acid, litholysis, litholytic mixture Reference List: 1.
